What a lovely couple ~ Oregon City Portrait Photographer
Ralph and Holly. What can I say? Such a lovely couple and just about the sweetest people you could ever meet. These two have been married for quite a number of years and with all their kids out of the house, are empty nesters (I know right, they look too young!). So they thought it was a good time to get portraits done of just the two of them. I couldn't have agreed more ; )

Next up, sisters! ~ Oregon City Portrait Photographer
These two were a hoot. I have to tell you that little sister Alexa is quite the ham. Don't let the sweet little smile and come hither eyes fool you. She's a pistol. She and I had an understanding. She could make a silly face for the camera followed by what we called a 'sweet smile'. She loved it! It went something like this.....

For about fifty frames! I was cracking up!
And big sister, well, she's not afraid to be in front of the camera either. Both of them were perfect little subjects. And that makes my job a whole lot easier.
Tomorrow, The Giffins!

More updates!~ Oregon City Portrait Photographer
So looky there! I made it back two days in a row. Woot for me! Ok, so more updating on my sessions of late (see the below post for more info).
Next we have Miles and Nolan. Two daaahhhling little cousins that were just the sweetest little guys. No fits, no crying, no tantrums. Just smiles, smiles, smiles. Love that! We were lucky enough to get permission to use a beautiful house that has it's own river front beach. So fab. And Nolan got his first feel of sand. It really was darling. Miles is the older of the two and he was like a big brother to Nolan. Leading him around everywhere, making sure he was following him, pulling him into the river. Yeah, we had some dashing moms on that one. But overall the morning was wonderful and great and I hope to work with these two little stars again!
Tomorrow sisters Emily and Alexa!

Where have I been?? Running around like a crazy person!~ Oregon City Portrait Photographer
My poor, poor, little blog. It's been neglected and forgotten. Ok, I'm going to buckle down and try to fill this little baby out proper! I've been pretty busy this summer, but I love it! Meeting new people, working with darling little faces, and capturing the beauty of brides. For the next few days I'm going to try and catch up with this summers 'missing sessions'.
Lets start with one of the most darling couples ever. I love 'E' sessions (engagement sessions) because I feel you really get a chance to connect with the couple and, get this!, they stay when you pose them! It's amazing! Unlike kiddos, (which I adore and love photographing) seniors and couples stay right where you tell them to. : )
So onward and upward to the some of my favorites from Bo and Taya's session.

My Assistant in front of the lens!~ Oregon City Portrait Photographer
This is my niece Taylor. She has been assisting me through the summer for work experience at school. But tonight was her turn to sit in front of my lens. Look how gorgeous she is! And her outfit, well she just couldn't have picked out a better one. We decided to head down to the Veiled Gardens in Oregon City. A lovely little garden that I've used before, like the day before with Miss Em. Lots of great natural light to work with and beautiful pathways, a gazebo, and perfect portrait spots.

Sisters in 100 Degree Heat?~ Oregon City Portrait Photographer
Yep. But we made it and they did wonderfully! Halle and Tessa were just little sparks of fire today, and not just because of the heat! Tessa wasn't so interested in me but she came around after awhile and Halle...well she is a character! Always ready with a pose! Check out the rest of their session on Flickr!

N.A.S. ~ Oregon City Portrait Photographer
Well, it's official. I just got my results back and I have N.A.S. and it's a bad case. Yep, Nikon Acquisition Syndrome and there is no known cure. Sigh. I'm a hopeless case. I've been told that my symptoms might subside, all be it temporarily, if I purchase the Nikon 85mm 1.4.
Oh, your so close to being mine I can feel it! Just a bit more saving and your in the bag!

Liv'in Large~ Oregon City Portrait Photographer
I love BIG prints. And I especially love BIG canvas prints. Look at my lovely new canvas I received in the mail yesterday. I thought I loved this picture on my computer, I love it even more on my wall! Asha was thrilled that I had ordered it and I catch her stopping and smiling at it. I ordered this through Canvas On Demand. I thought they did a really nice job on the wrap. Although I offer my clients canvas's through WHCC, I think I may order from Canvas On Demand from time to time.

My Little Photog~ Oregon City Portrait Photographer
Asha and I went to Rejuvenation Hardware in Portland today and had us a little photography outing. She was thrilled to get to tote around the D60. She asked if she could buy it for $5. I told her I'd have to think about it.
She snapped away like a mad women and I just let he have her run of the place. People stopped and stared, chuckled, and pointed, as this little blondw girl wandered around the whole store clicking away. I gave her a few points here and there, but nothing too big. I really wanted to see what she'd 'find' in the viewfinder. When we got home and loaded them onto the Mac, I was pleasantly surprised to see a ton of keepers in her shots! She did great! If you want to see her shots from the day, click on my Flickr slideshow and navigate your way to 'Asha's Shots' set. Heres one of my favorite of hers from today.

Who doesn't love when the delivery man rings the door bell? ~ Oregon City Portrait Photographer
I've had a lot of fun stuff delivered in the last week or so and there's still more on the way. Yay!
Above you can see, although small hopefully you can see, my new handy neck strap with the awesome minky fabric on the inside (sooo cozy), new referral cards from my last family session, referral bookmarks from Marinas session, and half of the 3x3 accordian album from Millers.
I'm still waiting on my 20x30 gallery wrap from Canvas on Demand. Never ordered from them, so we'll see how the quality is! And also my new 5x7 promo postcards from Gotprint. Delivery days are my favorite!
