Griffiths Family Sneek Peek!~ Oregon City Portrait Photographer

What a great family! I had the pleasure of meeting the Griffiths Family this evening. We made it through the heat and after the sun sunk below the tree line, we got some great shots!
Many more to come but please enjoy this Sneek Peek!

Sisters in 100 Degree Heat?~ Oregon City Portrait Photographer

Yep. But we made it and they did wonderfully! Halle and Tessa were just little sparks of fire today, and not just because of the heat! Tessa wasn't so interested in me but she came around after awhile and Halle...well she is a character! Always ready with a pose! Check out the rest of their session on Flickr!

N.A.S. ~ Oregon City Portrait Photographer

Well, it's official. I just got my results back and I have N.A.S. and it's a bad case. Yep, Nikon Acquisition Syndrome and there is no known cure. Sigh. I'm a hopeless case. I've been told that my symptoms might subside, all be it temporarily, if I purchase the Nikon 85mm 1.4.

Oh, your so close to being mine I can feel it! Just a bit more saving and your in the bag!

New packaging!~ Oregon City Portrait Photographer

A few weeks ago I received my brand new packaging  materials from  Wild Cat Wholesale. These are my new boxes for my 8x10 and 5x7 prints. They're really nicely made and I'm very happy with them! Funny thing is I thought I'd ordered the 5x7 and 11x14 size. I thought then I could just put the 8x10's in the 11x14 box and use it for the 11x14's as well. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to order more! ; )

Liv'in Large~ Oregon City Portrait Photographer

I love BIG prints. And I especially love BIG canvas prints. Look at my lovely new canvas I received in the mail yesterday. I thought I loved this picture on my computer, I love it even more on my wall! Asha was thrilled that I had ordered it and I catch her stopping and smiling at it. I ordered this through Canvas On Demand. I thought they did a really nice job on the wrap. Although I offer my clients canvas's through WHCC, I think I may order from Canvas On Demand from time to time.

My Little Photog~ Oregon City Portrait Photographer

Asha and I went to Rejuvenation Hardware in Portland today and had us a little photography outing. She was thrilled to get to tote around the D60. She asked if she could buy it for $5. I told her I'd have to think about it.
She snapped away like a mad women and I just let he have her run of the place. People stopped and stared, chuckled, and pointed, as this little blondw girl wandered around the whole store clicking away. I gave her a few points here and there, but nothing too big. I really wanted to see what she'd 'find' in the viewfinder. When we got home and loaded them onto the Mac, I was pleasantly surprised to see a ton of keepers in her shots! She did great! If you want to see her shots from the day, click on my Flickr slideshow and navigate your way to 'Asha's Shots' set. Heres one of my favorite of hers from today.

Who doesn't love when the delivery man rings the door bell? ~ Oregon City Portrait Photographer

blog polo1

I've had a lot of fun stuff delivered in the last week or so and there's still more on the way. Yay!
Above you can see, although small hopefully you can see, my new handy neck strap with the awesome minky fabric on the inside (sooo cozy), new referral cards from my last family session, referral bookmarks from Marinas session, and half of the 3x3 accordian album from Millers.
I'm still waiting on my 20x30 gallery wrap from Canvas on Demand. Never ordered from them, so we'll see how the quality is! And also my new 5x7 promo postcards from Gotprint. Delivery days are my favorite!

Golf swings, sun flare, and my baby boy.~ Oregon City Portrait Photographer

Ryder has always been my little buddy, my baby. But now he's morphing into Daddy's clone. And boy oh boy, was that ever present tonight in the backyard while he was practicing his golf swing. He's just growing up too quickly. Every once in awhile I get these little glimpses of the man thats on the horizon.  I can see so much of his Dad in him and that is a wonderful thing. But here I was just trying to practice capturing some sun flare and nice bokeh but what I saw through my lens was my baby turning into this grown up person! I adore him dearly and his light will brighten anyones day but I can do with out all this getting older mumbo jumbo. : )
